Through the Plains & Into The Mountains

We were blazing our way through Kansas on a back road (Rt. 36) when we noticed a sign saying something about Midget racing. So that night we stayed in a county park next to the fairgrounds and were treated to the 39th Annual Belleville Midget Nationals. Who knew?

It was after leaving Canon City that our fuel delivery system issue reared it's ugly head. What a nice place to stranded though for about 1/2 an hour - Monarch Pass.
