Leaving the Knebes was hard, but they do have a life without us. We took our time driving the western side of Olympic National Park. What a gem of a national park. We were able to take a walk in the rain forest and drive by pristine lakes. Wonderful day.
Today we spent on the Oregon coast. Spectacular sights, including a visit to the Lewis & Clark fort at the end of their trek to the Pacific, Fort Clatsop. Of course what is a day without challenges? As we are driving over the Astoria bridge, we drive over something and puncture a trailer tire. I am now more thankful than ever that Don insisted that our trailer have a dual axle. No damage to the rim or the trailer. We are going to need to drive into the Portland area to get the tire replaced. But at least we can. Spending the night in Tillamook. Already bought some cheese at the factory and watched the sun set on the Pacific Ocean after a scrumptious dinner by the seaside. How can we be upset?
